Photograph of interior of St. Anthony's Church, Ripley County, Indiana. Title taken from verso. Note on verso reads "Church of Saint Anthony of Padua, Morris, Ripley County, Indiana. Diocese of Vincennes, now Indianapolis, Ind. The Rev. Francis X. Girolt, Rector. This high altar was consecrated in the fall of 1893, by the Right Reverend Francis Silas [Chatard], Bishop of Vincennes, now Indianapolis. The [---] [---] on the bench [---] the side is the Rev. Father Girolt, the Rector. Father Girolt is is a French [---], Alsatian. [---] spent all his life in [---], Indiana. [---] [---] he could not speak English."
